Ohio Girls High School Team finish runner-up at PGA National High School played Pinehurst.

The 2020 High School Golf National Invitational was held at historic Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina. It is an invitation only tournament made up of the top high school golfers from across the country competing at a place as timeless as the game itself.

Receiving an invitation to the National Invitational is quite an honor as invitations are based on State Championship performance. The Invitational brings together a wide variety of golfers from nearly all 50 states. Public, or private, small or large, all high school state championship teams, individuals and their families are welcome at the Invitational.

In total 103 high school champions and nine girl’s teams participated in the competition held on Pinehurst’s Nos. 6, 8 and 9 courses.

Kary Hollenbaugh finished tied for fifth with rounds of 78-71-73. Anna Ritter was T-15, Madison Spiess finished 29th, Anna Coccia,  30th and Gwynnie Lee was 74th. Together their team score was good enough to capture runner-up honors at this prestigious event.
